Effective Positive Feedback

Feedback is crucial for career development, both positive and negative. For new managers and experienced leaders, effective communication during feedback conversations is critical in facilitating a work environment that promotes growth and communication. Recognizing and celebrating successes within a team promotes engagement, and motivates the team to perform at their highest level. It is the manager’s role to harness the skills of all individuals, and provide the environment that allows high-performing employees to share their expertise and motivation with other team members.

Module Details

In this ‘Effective Positive Feedback’ learning module, learners take on the role of a senior manager at a fictional IT firm. They are tasked with providing feedback to an employee who has performed at a higher level than her colleagues in the last quarter. The learner must provide her with positive feedback, and identify actionable ways for her to share her expertise with the rest of the team.

‘Effective Positive Feedback’ is part of the ‘Effective Feedback’ learning series, which provides an immersive learning experience for leaders and managers to further develop critical communication skills required for feedback conversations.
