Unlocking Performance Goals
Learners are tasked with pioneering the expansion of Levitt Heights’ hospitality and tourism industry, including restoring The Heights Lookout Hotel to its former glory. Learners must find a suitable candidate for the role and use logical persuasion to convince them to take on the Executive Chef position.

Learners will be notified when their performance will be scored and can return to the menu before proceeding. Green, yellow and red visual cues indicate the quality of their response.

Module Details
Lesson description
  • Speak with your assistant, Nia Okoro, to gather the latest news about the city’s efforts with reviving tourism and hospitality in Levitt Heights, and brainstorm ideas for moving the project forward.
  • Meet with local chef, Elliot Halvorson, and suggest he open a Recipe Box restaurant inside The Lookout Hotel. Talk with him about his priorities and concerns.
  • Talk with Mara Narvaez, Development Director of SchoolHouse Heroes, about proposing a partnership between SchoolHouse Heroes and Recipe Box to train hospitality workers that work at The Lookout Hotel restaurant. Find data that will alleviate Elliot’s concerns, and persuade him to choose Levitt Heights and the Lookout Hotel as his new restaurant location.
  • Meet with Elliot and Mara at Tthe Lookout Hotel. Using the new information you’ve gathered, create a persuasive argument that will convince Elliot Tthe Lookout location is a good place to start his new restaurant.
